RECEPTIONIST: I don't own a home, I rent, so I'm lucky. I don't
even know what the word "mortgage" means or why everyone is so nervous about it. |
 |
UNKNOWN SKEPTIC: It's a possibility. The way this Bush economy works is only the big guys win. Oil is driving prices up for everything except
homes while wages are going down and thousands are getting laid off. I used to have a huge savings account, now I live check to check, and no, I'm not sure if I can continue making mortgage payments throughout the term.
I used to believe that once you owned property, the value would just go up, but I never counted on screwballs taking over and stealing from the poor to give to the rich. |
 |
COOL LEE: I've heard a few things in the news about a possible recession due to the subprime fallout, whatever that means. It doesn't
really hurt me because I inherited a home that's paid for, and I never intend to move. I'm more concerned as to whether or not Lindsay Lohan's career will rebound.

JENNIFER: I think it's great that home prices are coming down. If they keeping dropping, maybe someday I'll be able to afford one. |
 |
SKULL MADISON: The plan is working nicely, I'd say. My good buddy Bush is doing everything to destroy the middle class so that
there will just be two classes: upper and lower. Of course, the 5 percent of us who control the wealth in this country will only continue to grow in power
while the rest of you little people shrink even more because you'll have to answer to us and be our little slaves. And we will continue to build bigger prisons
to relieve some of the burden on your failed attempts at trying to scrounge for shelter. |
 |
COLLEGE STUDENT: That's what happens when you make loans too easily available to too many people. Now where I live there are more
foreclosures than home sales. The banks should have predicted this would happen, but for some reason I guess I know more about basic economics than the guys running the economy. I guess that means the country is in trouble. |
 |
DAVE THE ATTORNEY: Mortgage defaults should not be taken lightly. In fact, there is an argument that when one defaults on one's
mortgage, that constitutes fraud. Be frightened. Very, very frightened. You're going to need legal advice, so call my office immediately. |
