TANGENT SUNSET

COMMON CREEPS by Alex Cosper

Have rising gas prices caused you to change your lifestyle? (4/24/05)

respondent quote
GW BULLSH: Not at all. In fact, I'm addicted to oil. So are all my friends.
RECEPTIONIST: I don't even keep track of what gas costs anymore. I just put it all on my credit card and forget about it.
UNKNOWN SKEPTIC: I don't think people realize that when the price of crude oil goes up, so does everything else, since this economy is unnecessarily oil-based. It's caused me to formulate more conspiracy theories as to why the price of oil is being artificially jacked up.
COOL LEE: I don't really pay attention to energy costs. Whatever they are, that's what I pay and then if I need more money at the end of the month I figure out a way to work a little harder. I believe it comes down to the individual - and every individual should want to work harder to make more money.
DJ YOYO JO-Z: I can't just stop driving. I do lots of gigs and I gotta haul my gear around. But the way I get back at all them fools playin' with the prices, is I get on the microphone and tell the people to stop throwin' money away on gas.
MR. BIG BIZ: Being that I'm an oil investor, I'm looking forward to higher prices and more robust record earnings for the oil companies.
JENNIFER: Three bucks a gallon is a little too high for me, so I cut my work week down to four days. I just call in sick on Fridays now.
