COLLEGE STUDENT: I think that it's all going to lead to zero impact on what happens on Earth. It's not going to stop the spread of global fascism. Ironically, what will topple global fascism will be the internet. Outer space is no longer the final frontier, now it's cyberspace. Don't bet against it. |

JOE DOAKES: Wow, I didn't hear about it. I was watching local news on TV and the first fifteen stories were
all about violent crimes. I guess it's difficult to fit in stories that fall outside of the murder format. I'm so hooked on local news, though,
that I probably wouldn't want the crime stories to be interrupted by something that affects the bigger picture of the entire universe. |

JFK HISTORIAN: Let's not forget it was President Kennedy who was responsible for accelerating the space
exploration program. It's true that the previous administration had established NASA and introduced the first space missions, but without
JFK, it could have all ended in the sixties. He's the first President who saw beyond Planet Earth. |

MADAM OF THE PLANETS: This is the news we've been waiting for all our lives. The fact that we have found
a new planet in outer space proves that we did not know as much as we thought we knew. Always remember that there is more unknown than known.
But the unknown also allows us to use our imaginations to explore the possibilities...and the possibilities of life on other planets are endless. |
 |
GOOFBALL GREG: What a misprint. Everyone knows there are only seven planets in the Milkyway galaxy, so the new planet
would be the eighth, not the tenth. Those seven planets, in case you've forgotten, are Mars, Venus, the Moon, the Sun, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto. Any questions?

GURU DION: The only thing I'm surprised about is that it was even mentioned in the news when you consider
the media usually focuses more on the "dumbing of America" project. The fact that this made the news is a relief because it shows that
Bush and the secret government can't control everything. |
 |
MOVIE BUFF: Oh I knew this was going to happen, based on the movies I've seen. Reality always follows what happens
in movies because movies are the most important thing in life. I guess what I'm saying is that reality patterns itself after movies. |
 |
SCIENTIST: Let us not jump to too many conclusions. First, we are still not sure if the new object even qualifies to
be defined as a planet, being that there is no consensus on the scientific definition of a planet. This newly discovered object moves at a different orbit
than the rest of the planets in the solar system. In other words, let's not get too excited until the scientific community has engaged in years of debate so that we can test the theory as to whether or not we should alter our current understanding of the solar system. |
