UNKNOWN SKEPTIC: Ah, that's just more hype that doesn't mean anything. If he's the best selling rapper of
all time there needs to be better rap music anyway. My kids like him, and I may think a few of his songs are funny, but the world's got more
important things to worry about. Honestly, it really does. |
 |
COOL LEE: I love Eminem because he's popular. I think he crosses color lines, to the point where maybe he's erased
color lines. I don't know, I like all his songs, especially from the latest album. Funny how I can't remember the names of any of the new songs
but the old songs are stuck in my mind. I still like the "Slim Shady" song, whatever that's called. |
 |
DJ YOYO JO-Z: Eminem sold a ton, but now he's done and 50 Cent is number one. That's my own little rap
I made up about Eminem. It's called the "The New Word Has Come." I don't play too much old school anymore - I mostly play 50 Cent and Usher on up
to today. |

MR. BIG BIZ: Never heard of the guy except the article a while back of him being charged with waving a gun in public
at someone. I believe I may have also read somewhere that he actually tried to provoke a fight with another recording artist at an awards show.
This type of behavior should not be rewarded by the music industry. So in that sense, I'm glad to see the guy throw in the towel. Perhaps it will make
room for more restrained, but pleasant entertainers. |
 |
JENNIFER: Never really got into him to be honest. Some people mature faster than others, I guess. To be even more
honest, I don't like most of the corporate music I hear anymore. I'm more into underground music that I hear on the internet. |
 |
SKULL MADISON: Eminem? How did something that obscure grab the headlines when we're in the middle of the greatest administration ever?
I'm surprised we're not hearing more about the Karl Rove story. Then again, it's best for the country that we keep that out of the news. Then again, knowing Karl, he'll put the right spin on it and we'll just move forward with our imperialistic agenda - if ya know what I mean. |
 |
WORKER JOE: Man, that sucks. Eminem's quitting, man. He was one of my favorite rappers. I love the profanity in his songs
because it proves that he just doesn't give a damn. We need more people to inspire the rest of us to be angry and frustrated. I ain't got no future anyway. Maybe that's why I love Eminem so much, because his music speaks to me. |
 |
COLLEGE STUDENT: Wow, what other good news you got? I've only heard his songs by accident, where I was in a car with someone and forced to listen to a bunch of Eminem. There's too much stuff on iTunes for me to check out to worry if Eminem ever puts out a song again. The music industry is changing to the point where eventually there won't be that many mega-selling superstars anyway. I've already gotten into podcasting. I don't have time to even think about jokers that are trying to make corporate headlines. |
 |
GOOFBALL GREG: Oh dude, that's depressing. Eminem did so much for music - and the white community. Not to be racist, but Eminem
was like the first rapper to make me feel included in the hip hop world. Oh, wait a minute. I'm forgetting about Vanilla Ice from ten years earlier. I think Eminem will be remembered as the second coming of Vanilla Ice. |
