| LEFT GUARD LARRY: Probably McGuire's silly baseball testimony before Congress whether or not he used steroids. The damn gloomy crybaby kept sayin' "I'm not here to talk about the past, I'm here to be positive about the present and the future." Man, if I woulda' said somethin' like that when I got busted for drugs, they woulda' just laughed and threw my ass in jail. |
WORKER JOE: I think Jose Canseco blew it in the hearings when they asked him why he contradicted himself in his book about steroids. First he tries to take the whole league down with him by trying to bust players for using steroids then he talks about in his book how steroids are good. So they ask him why he contradicted himself and he said something lame like that was his opinion when he wrote the book two years ago. So why doesn't he yank his sorry book off the market if it's all old and wrong? Sounds like he wants to make a million first. |
BROKER BOB: I just love it when a guilty CEO like Bernie Ebbers of WorldCom tells his CFO to cook the books and then pretends he doesn't even know anything about accounting. Oh, yeah, that'll work - maybe for a 20-year sentence. |
CONDI ROSE: (nodding her head affirmatively like a puppet of some easy to figure out conspiracy) Let's talk about it later. |
COLLEGE STUDENT: For awhile Donald Rumsfeld was using the line "I don't know what that means" but it wore off once everyone realized he doesn't have a clue anyway. The other weak line that I hear all the neo-cons like Scott McClellan say is "I don't have the document in front of me right now, so I can't comment on that." I actually don't know what that means since none of them act like they know how to read. |
BRUTUS JONES: I think Robert Blake's alibi about forgetting his gun in the restaurant was hysterical. I have to remember that one in case I feel like shooting someone. Hey - it worked. |
GW BULLSH: I like how the President keeps changing the reason why we went to war with Iraq.
First he tried to link Saddam to 9/11, then it was weapons of mass destruction, then it was to create a democracy. It's whatever new lie he feels like saying once the obstructionists call his bluff. Maybe now people will admit he's not so dumb after all. Only a clever evil genius could fool HALF of America ALL of the time. I gotta give him credit. |
