GW BULLSH: I'm his biggest fan so I'm confused. Why is he suddenly mentioning
Democratic legislation like the Social Security Act? |
UNKNOWN SKEPTIC: It was very New World Orderish. Very Orwellian. Very much Machiavellian.
I have to hand it to his speech writer. More proof that brainwashing is an under-rated art. Bush gave himself away when he said: "Our duties are defined not by the words I use." That's because everything he says is a lie. |
MR. BIG BIZ: Brilliant speech. I love the President's sense of what freedom means
to Corporate America. He summed it up so eloquently by saying "America's vital interests and our deepest beliefs are now one." In other words, get on board with the economic military agenda of expanding America's resources around the world.
That's what's going to ensure a bull market. Don't worry about it, just go with it, I think you're gonna like the results. |
CONDI ROSE: We can talk about it later. |
JENNIFER: When he started talking about the "Maker of Heaven and Earth" I started thinking
about the last time my parents made me go to church when I was 13 years old. The whole speech was tainted with religious overtones, kind of like the speech made recently by Osama bin Laden. |
BROKER BOB: Uhhh! Didn't help the market today. Dow, S&P, Nasdaq - all down (gulp). In fact, we hit a two month low. Could've been some of the disappointing quarterly earnings reports recently. Maybe. Not sure. Hmmm. I guess I don't know anymore which way the market is going. Feels more down than up lately. Guess we got four years to see what happens. I still wanna believe this Bush thing's gonna work out. |
SKULL MADISON: Are you kiddin' me? Best damn inauguration speech ever. Buried Kennedy's communist speech into the ground. I went out and got a bottle of whiskey to celebrate. Best line was: "The great objective of ending tyranny is the concentrated work of generations." In others words, don't expect world peace in your lifetime.
This is war, baby. History is based on war heroes, so don't be foolish and choose the wrong side of history.
Bush is a war hero. Accept it or get out of my country. |
FATHER SULLIVAN: I didn't understand why he mentioned the Koran, but I thought he closed with a thoughtful prayer by saying: "May God bless you, and may He watch over the United States of America." |
COLLEGE STUDENT: Bush said: "Oppression is always wrong and freedom is always right."
Does this mean he changed his mind? Then he quoted Lincoln saying "those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves." Does this mean he's going to turn himself in? |
JFK HISTORIAN: I still think Kennedy had the best speech. |
GURU DION: I knew he did white powder at one time, but I didn't know he experimented with psychedelics. I couldn't believe he said: "One day this untamed fire of freedom will reach the darkest corners of the world." Sounds like he finally listened to a Doors album. |
